🎷 Burlesque, Blues & Bold Beats: What to Expect at Blues and Burlesque Beats

The image is a title card to go with the blog post about Blues and Burlesque. Performer Grace Cherry is in the background with white feather fans.

I am so excited to be in the midst of preparing the latest instalment of my yearly Blues and Burlesque show.

This is one of my favourite ways to perform burleswue — to a live band! There is just nothing like the atmosphere this creates.

This time the show is coming back on August 2 & 3 for two unforgettable nights of music, mischief, and magnetic performances.

Not sure what to expect?

It’s definitely not your average burlesque show. This is a full-bodied experience where the smoky rhythms of live blues meet the glittering world of burlesque. Think velvet vocals, from Sam of Sam & the 78s complemented with feather fans, tassels and tease.

I think what makes this show so special is that it is a really tightly curated collision of vintage glamour and soul bringing the magic of the blues band with performances from artists that love the improv atmosphere that live music brings.

Whether you’re a burlesque first-timer or a seasoned fan, this is the kind of night that lingers in your memory.

Make sure you keep an eye on social media for teasers and behind the scenes action in the show!
