Showcase Highlights + What’s Next at Miss Kitty’s Meow

There’s something truly magical about burlesque students sharing their performances at our Burlesque Showcase!

Our most recent Miss Kitty’s Meow showcase was a celebration of creativity, confidence, and the beautiful diversity of people that make up our burlesque community.

Many of our students took to the stage for the very first time — a huge milestone that deserves celebrating.

And then I love seeing those people that return time and time again - and just how much they grow and blossom. The facial expression, their style and self expression.

What I find most amazing is just how many of these people step into that gentle leadership:

  • encouraging new performers to get on stage

  • getting the curling irons out and helping out behind the scenes with the finishing touches

  • those extra practices squeezed into lounge rooms and garages!

It’s never something I push on anyone - it’s just incredible how much everyone just goes that extra mile behind the scenes and how much the students take pride in the professionalism they put on stage!

I have been sharing photos and videos from the showcase across our socials and in our student community spaces.

And of course if you have been watching from the audience or following along online and wondering if burlesque is “for you” — remember that everyone that comes to a class or gets on stage is so different!

You don’t need experience, a certain body type, or stage confidence to get involved.

If it’s piqued your interest head to the Classes page and enrol in an upcoming course or workshop!
